The world is quickly moving away from the culture of disposable goods and, so far as the environment is concerned, good riddance to that culture. Refillable lighters represent one of the most-popular ways people have found to save money and landfill space. Of course, they also have a lot of style. The explosion of new designs has made sure that almost anyone can find a model that suits them to a “T”.
Butane torch lighters tend to turn heads. It’s hard not to look when one catches sight of a double or triple blue flame out of the corner of one’s eye. The Colibri lighter company makes many such models which are representative of the style: sleek, modern and aesthetically-pleasing. These lighters have practical value, as well. As the butane has no taste or odor, it is perfectly safe to light a cigar or pipe with these models without risking adding the lighter fluid flavor that causes many smokers to eschew the traditional liquid-fueled refillables. Where fuel is concerned, however, just as is the case with an expensive sports car, high-end equipment calls for high-end fuel.
There are several different grades of butane available. If one makes the investment required for a good lighter”it is surprisingly affordable, actually”they should make the corresponding investment in lighter fluids. Look for fuel that advertises zero-impurities. This means that the lighter will perform at peak levels and that the blue flame, or flames, will burn hot enough and bright enough for everyone to see.
Refueling these lighters is a very easy affair. The canisters used to dispense the butane are designed to mate with the receivers on the bottom of these lighters which ensures that there are no mishaps. One should never attempt to force an incorrect adapter or to use a fuel other than butane in these lighters. There are various grades of butane available on the market. If one has purchased an elegant lighter, it makes sense to purchase a high grade of butane to go with it. The performance, of course, will also be much better.
These modern, non-disposable and high-quality tools are well-worth the price. They’ll easily pay for themselves in short order. One must also factor into the price the cost of disposing of all the cheap lighters on the market and, of course, one can feel a bit of pride in not contributing to such waste. Modern lighters mean not only the incorporation of modern technology and design but also the incorporation of modern sensibilities where how one treats the Earth is concerned.

CCNA is the usual starting point for all Cisco training. This will enable you to operate on maintaining and installing routers and switches. The internet is made up of many routers, and big organisations who have different locations need them to allow their networks of computers to communicate.
To take this course, you should be clear on computer networks and how they operate and function, because computer networks are joined to routers. Otherwise, you’ll probably struggle. You might look for a course covering basic networking skills (for example Network+, perhaps with A+) before getting going with CCNA. Look for a training provider that can offer this as a career package.
Find a tailored course that takes you on a progressive path to ensure you’ve got the appropriate skills and abilities before starting your training in Cisco skills.
Proper support should never be taken lightly – find a program providing 24×7 full access, as anything less will frustrate you and could put a damper on the speed you move through things.
Be wary of any training providers that use ‘out-of-hours’ call-centres – where an advisor will call back during the next ‘working’ day. It’s not a lot of help when you’ve got study issues and need help now.
The very best training providers have many support offices across multiple time-zones. They use an online interactive interface to provide a seamless experience, irrespective of the time you login, help is just a click away, without any contact issues or hassle.
Seek out a training company that goes the extra mile. As only true 24×7 round-the-clock live support provides the necessary backup.
The perhaps intimidating chore of securing your first IT job can be made easier by training colleges, through a Job Placement Assistance facility. Because of the great skills shortage in the United Kingdom right now, it’s not too important to become overly impressed with this service however. It isn’t so complicated as you might think to get a job as long as you’ve got the necessary skills and qualifications.
CV and Interview advice and support may be available (alternatively, check out one of our sites for help). Ensure you update that dusty old CV today – don’t wait until you’ve finished your exams!
A good number of junior support roles are offered to trainees who’re still on their course and haven’t got any qualifications yet. This will at least get you on your way.
The top companies to help you find a job are most often independent and specialised local recruitment services. Because they make their money when they’ve found you a job, they’ll work that much harder to get a result.
Fundamentally, as long as you focus the same level of energy into securing your first job as into studying, you won’t find it too challenging. Some trainees strangely invest a great deal of time on their course materials and then just stop once they’ve passed their exams and would appear to think that businesses will just discover them.
There is a tidal wave of change about to hit technology in the near future – and it becomes more and more thrilling each day.
We’ve only just begun to get an inclination of how technology will define our world. The internet will massively change the way we regard and interrelate with the world as a whole over the coming years.
Let’s not forget that income in the IT industry throughout this country is considerably more than average salaries nationally, which means you will more than likely earn noticeably more in the IT sector, than you’d get in most other industries.
Due to the technological sector increasing nationally and internationally, it’s predictable that the need for certified IT professionals will remain buoyant for decades to come.
Don’t put too much store, like so many people do, on the training course itself. Your training isn’t about getting a plaque on your wall; this is about gaining commercial employment. You need to remain focused on where you want to go.
It’s a terrible situation, but the majority of trainees commence training that sounds wonderful from the sales literature, but which provides a job that is of no interest. Try talking to typical university graduates to see what we mean.
You’ll want to understand the exact expectations industry will have. Which particular qualifications you’ll need and in what way you can gain some industry experience. Spend some time considering how far you wish to go as often it can force you to choose a particular set of exams.
Look for help from a skilled advisor that ‘gets’ the commercial realities of the area you’re interested in, and who can give you ‘A day in the life of’ understanding of what duties you’ll be performing during your working week. It’s good sense to know if this change is right for you well before you commence your studies. There’s really no reason in beginning your training and then realise you’ve made a huge mistake.

Here is a simple to learn magic trick that is considered a self working trick. This means that you don’t need to learn any sleight of hand or special gimmicks to get this trick to work. This is a great trick to use with kids, or adults or anyone that likes to see some goofy magic.
Here’s how the deception appears to your stunned observers. You have all the cards of the equivalent suit taken out of the deck. So you’ve got all the hearts, or clubs, or whatever. Have them arranged in order, starting from the ace, and ending with the king. If you are doing this with kids, you can even have them set the deck up for them.
As soon as you’ve got it set up, then you go through the deck once, showing them all that they are certainly in order, starting from the ace, and ending at the king. If you like you can present them the short stack and have them verify for themselves to make sure there is nothing funny going on.
Then clarify the trick to them. You have the stack face down. If they say “deal,” then you take one card off the top, and place it face down on the table, in a new stack. If they say “double deal” then you take two cards off the top, reverse the order and then place them face down in the same stack. Do this until you’ve gone through all the cards. Tell them that they have to remember the new order that the cards are in. While they are industriously trying to re compute the order, you pick up the new stack, and begin to turn each card over one by one. They will be surprised to see that the cards are still in the same order, starting from the ace, up to the king.
Most often, they will ask you to do it again, and again. And the cool part is, since this is a self working trick, they can do it themselves and it will still work. The reason it works should be obvious once you do this a few times. If you take only one card off the top, and place it in the new stack, (deal), or take two cards, and reverse the order, placing them in the new stack (double deal) they still end up in the same order, no matter if you deal or double deal them. To perceive how this works, do the trick with all the cards facing up, and you’ll see how it works out.
This is astonishing for kids of all ages, and a lot of of them will never deduce how it works even after they do the trick themselves. Of course, you’ll sporadically run into a young theorist or natural mathematician who’ll see right through this trick and recognize how it’s down. Even so, this trick is brilliant for never-ending amounts of entertainment, even with adults. Have fun with this straightforward trick.

Any business in the game of making money through selling a product will need a reverse logistics operation. This is the side of business that handles returns, fixing defective products, and minimizing costs while doing so. It’s harder than what it seems at first glance, but there will be help along the way.
Small businesses and large businesses alike will need a reverse logistics plan, even if they only sell one product. There are no manufacturers out there that can boast a 100% satisfaction rate with all products. Mistakes happen, and consumers will inevitably have to return the product to get it fixed or ask for a refund. Having a plan to handle these claims will ensure your business isn’t losing money on the returns.
Try to consolidate the process of reverse logistics. If you can provide a consolidated freight system, you can save on fuel and labor costs. You might wait to return goods to the manufacturer until the first of every month, as an example. Just be sure to be within your bounds of agreement with the manufacturer, since some don’t allow returns after certain dates.
When you refurbish a product, you are simply fixing a problem that the consumer had with the product and returning it. This process requires that you have a team that is able to fix the product in question. If you do, factor in labor costs into the equation of lowering your logistics costs. If not, you should try factoring in the freight costs of getting the items back to the manufacturer instead.
The most important part of the reverse logistics business is analyzing what you have repaired, received, and sent on a monthly basis. That way you can decide how to order spare parts in order to fix the products sent back. Since you often get discounts for ordering in bulk, after a month or two you should have a good enough idea to make a large purchase on spare parts for the distant future.
A broker or third party logistics service will be able to further help you consolidate your efforts, save time, and ultimately save money in the process. A third party logistics service already has experience building a business and maximizing efficiency. Even if you are already doing well, a reverse logistics service could save time by allowing you to outsource the entire operation. You may even find they charge less of a price than the costs you incurred.
In Conclusion
Reverse logistics is a science. You won’t be able to tackle the problem in as little as a few months- it’s an ongoing operation that will take much testing and patience. Ask for help when you need it, for there are many businesses out there ready to lend a hand.

It was the sort of sloppy NFL preseason game that made the coaches more interested in escaping with as few injuries as possible than with winning or evaluating talent. In a driving rainstorm at Arrowhead Stadium the Houston Texans outlasted the Kansas City Chiefs to take a 16-10 NFL exhibition victory. It was the first game of the NFL preseason for both teams, and they were more or less happy to emerge unscathed from the deluge though Houston did suffer a potentially significant injury to their backup QB.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak summed up the teams attitude toward playing in such awful weather conditions:
“It was a very sloppy night weather-wise and whoever plays the best defense and whoever doesn’t put it on the ground usually finds a way to win in this league. I was glad we did, but we paid a price. We have some guys banged up and that usually happens when you get out there in a mess like that.”
The biggest name to suffer an injury was Houston backup QB Rex Grossman. Kubiak gave an early assessment of his prognosis after the game:
“It looks like he has a pretty good hamstring. The first play when he went in he booted and said he felt his hamstring pull or pop, or whatever. So we’ll have to wait and see.”
Texans running back Ryan Moats had 52 yards on 10 carries, and was happy just to be playing in an actual game:
“It felt good to finally hit somebody else for a change and not worry about hurting anybody else.”
Texans QB Matt Schaub was generally pleased with his performance under the circumstances:
“We ran the ball effectively down in the red zone and we were able to finish that drive 95 yards for a touchdown. That’s the way you want to finish off your day.”
Kansas Citys head coach Todd Haley made his NFL coaching debut, and was nonplussed about it being a loss:
“It’s your first game as head coach and I know it’s just preseason, but it was an exciting, exciting moment for me. If you tell me the first real one’s a win, I’ll take this loss any day of the week. It’s a special feeling when it’s your team and a lot of responsibility comes with that and I didn’t live up to my end of that. That’s the part that’s got to change.”
Houston will start the NFL regular season at home against the New York Jets on Sunday, September 13th while Kansas City will play the Ravens at Baltimore.

The Houston Texans produced a 17 point outburst in the second quarter and went on to beat the host Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-20 in the NFL preseason finale for both teams. Rex Grossman carried the bulk of the workload for Houston, finishing with 197 yards and two touchdowns in an effort that likely secured him the #3 quarterback position on the Texans roster behind Matt Schaub and Dan Orlovsky. While Grossman didn’t throw any interceptions, it was a sloppy game overall with the two teams combining for seven turnovers.
Houston rewarded their NFL betting backers by winning outright as a +3 road underdog. The 47 combined points went well OVER the posted total of 33. In fact, with 27 points scored in the first half the two teams came very close to topping that total in the opening two quarters alone.
After the game, Grossman took a philosophical outlook on getting a roster spot:
“I don’t control any of that. All I wanted to do was go out and have a good game for either this team or somebody else. That’s not up to me. I thought I did that, and we’ll see what happens. I feel decent about my audition. If they cut me, then hopefully somebody else will pick me up.”
Texans coach Gary Kubiak gave a very positive assessment of Grossmans performance in the NFL preseason:
“I was very impressed. You could see signs of that during camp, whenever he was working that first seven or eight days. Obviously he knows what this league’s about. He knows how to make plays. He was ready to play.”
When asked specifically about Grossmans chances of making the team, Kubiak was very noncommittal about cutting the roster down to 53 players:
“I don’t know. … We’ve got to look at a lot of things. It’s a tough process, that 53 situation, so we’ll see. He sure as heck helped himself.”
On the other side of the field, the game was the NFL debut of Greg Olson as the Bucs’ offensive coordinator. Olson was promoted Thursday when Jeff Jagodzinski was sacked as the teams offensive mastermind after a sluggish output in the preseason.
After the game, Bucs head coach Raheem Morris was pleased with the performance of #1 draft pick Josh Freeman, wholl likely end up as the teams third string QB. Freeman struggled at time but also dished out a touchdown pass and earned his coachs praise:
“He came out a little shaky. He had to make a couple of great scrambles there, make a couple of good third-down conversions to end that thing with a two-minute drive to get us in the end zone It’s what you want to see. You want to see these guys play better every time you go out there.”
The Texans will kick off the NFL regular season at home, hosting the New York Jets on Sunday. Tampa will host the Dallas Cowboys in week one before heading to upstate New York the following Sunday for a game against the Buffalo Bills.

The Dallas Cowboys received a solid effort from QB Tony Romo in his first action of the NFL preseason, but ultimately went down in defeat to the host Oakland Raiders by a 31-10 final score. Romo went three and out in his first series, but orchestrated a nice drive on his second go-round culminating in an eight yard touchdown pass to Jason Witten. Oakland’s first team struggled, but their reserves badly outplayed their Dallas counterparts in securing the win.
Romo did receive some criticism for hooking up with his longtime favorite target Witten rather than involve the rest of the offense. There’s been a lot of concern about the need to develop more long yardage passing threats after the departure of Terrell Owens. After the game, he brushed aside this talk:
“I don’t think it means anything. If one guy caught six straight balls and then we scored, that’s fine, too. It’s just about whatever the defense allows us on that specific play.”
Receiver Roy Williams caught one pass on the evening, and after the game sounded his vote of confidence with the Cowboys offense:
“If we execute like that, any team is going to have trouble. But we’re going to have our adversity and have our hard times where we can’t get open or the quarterback gets sacked or a bad throw. But tonight it all fell into place.”
Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell didnt produce quite as well as Romo in only two series of action, but Oakland coach Bruce Cable still gave him props for a good effort:
“I thought he was very aggressive with the ball, made good decisions. That’s what I’m talking about with him. When he plays the game at a fast enough speed, it allows him to be on time and he showed that tonight.”
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips chalked the loss up to a learning experience:
“Our second group and our young guys, they made a lot of mistakes. You could see them out there. Those things shouldn’t happen but they did. Our guys will learn from those things.”
The Cowboys will continue their NFL preseason play hosting the Tennessee Titans on Friday night. Oakland, meanwhile travel across the bay to play their local rivals the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.

One of England’s most beloved sporting figures, Sir Bobby Robson, yielded to his courageous fight with cancer recently at the age of 75. British soccer fans mourned his passing after a lifetime in the game, first as a player and then a team manager and elder statesman. Even the often snippy British press had nothing bad to say about the universally respected Robson, headlining their obituaries with adjectives like The Bravest Knight or simply The Legend.
Robson enjoyed a productive career as a player that spanned 20 years and was spent primarily in the English Premier League with Fulham and West Bromwich Albion. He also earned twenty ‘caps’ in International play for England, scoring four goals.
After his retirement in’68 as an active player, he found more fame as a team manager. His guiding hand transformed Ipswich Town from a laughing stock to an EPL powerhouse and he would lead the club for well over a decade. He would also serve as the England National Team manager for 8 years, before ending his career in British football with a stint as manager of Newcastle United that ended in 2004.
Robson earned even more respect and admiration due to his public battle with cancer. Although a brain tumor left him partially paralyzed in 2006, he never wavered in his commitment to English football or to raising money and awareness for cancer treatment. After being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2007, he dedicated the rest of his life to helping others with the same diagnosis.
Such was the respect for Robson that two other soccer icons not known for seeing eye to eye were quick to pay their respects. Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho gave this tribute:
“I wanted to and I will keep with me always the Bobby Robson of every day, a person who had extraordinary passion for life and for football, with an extraordinary enthusiasm. Bobby Robson is one of those people who never die, not so much for what he did in his career, for one victory more or less, but for what he knew to give to those who had, like me, the good fortune to know him and walk by his side. My thoughts and embraces go to all his loved ones.”
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson shared his own touching comments:
“In my 23 years working in England there is not a person I would put an inch above him. I was never too big or proud to ask him for advice, which he gave freely and unconditionally. And I’m sure I am speaking for a lot of people when I say that. I mourn the passing of a great friend, a wonderful individual, a tremendous football man and somebody with passion and knowledge of the game that was unsurpassed.”
“His character was hewn out of the coalface; developed by the County Durham mining background that he came from. His parents instilled in him the discipline and standards which forged the character of a colossal human being. He added his own qualities to that which he passed on to his sons. The strength and courage he showed over the past couple of years when battling against his fifth bout of cancer was indescribable. Always a smile, always a friendly word with never a mention of his own problems.”
“The world, not just the football world, will miss him. Let’s hope it won’t be long before another like him turns up because we could never get enough of them.”
Many EPL clubs will honor Robson in some form or another during the upcoming season with a number of more lasting tributes planned. Several statues and other permanent forms of remembrance are reportedly under consideration.

Matthew Stafford has yet to play a regular season NFL game and hes already the Detroit Lions starting quarterback. First year coach Jim Schwartz named Stafford as his starter for the teams opening game of the NFL regular season against the New Orleans Saints. Stafford beat out veteran Daunte Culpepper for the spot, though Schwartz went out of his way to stress that the rookie won the job as opposed to Culpepper losing it.
In announcing Stafford as the starting QB for the Lions, Schwartz made clear that hes very confident with his personnel at the position:
“I’ve had a lot of very tough decisions in the last few days — guys making the 53-man roster or not making it — but none more difficult than at quarterback. We announced to our team this morning that Matt Stafford is going to be our starting quarterback.”
“I’m very, very comfortable with the quarterback position here, not just one and two, but also three. What made this decision difficult was that I think we can win with Daunte Culpepper, I think we can with Matt Stafford, and I think we can win with Drew Stanton.
Stafford indicated that while hes always been confident that he’d get the nod there was still a lot of uncertainty up to the time Schwartz made the announcement:
“I definitely thought I was going to be the guy, but as competitive as Daunte is, I’m sure he thought he was going to be the guy, too. Coach Schwartz called me in this morning and told me, and I went out and practiced with the first team. That was exciting.”
Stafford stressed that hes not just happy to be in the NFL”he wants to win:
“I’m going to try to win football games. I think, just like everyone else on this team, that we can go out on Sunday and be competitive against the Saints and give ourselves a chance to win the game. That’s our job.”
Schwartz said that he plans to give his quarterback the opportunity plenty of margin for error as he learns the ropes:
“This isn’t an internship. This isn’t a trial basis. He’s our starting quarterback. We said that, to win the job, he had to be ready, and he had to be our best quarterback, and that’s what he has shown.”
He continued with praise for Culpepper:
“Daunte Culpepper is back — there’s no doubt in my mind and there’s no doubt around this league. He’s going to be back as a starting quarterback in this league, and with a high level of success.”
Culpepper didnt speak to the media, but that wasnt a surprise since he never speaks to the media. Stafford had some props for his backup:
“I’m sure it is tough for him, but Daunte’s been great for me and he will continue to be. I can’t think of a better guy to learn from and to have in my corner.”
The Lions will look for their first regular season win in over a year as they start the NFL regular season at New Orleans on Sunday. Theyll play the following two games at home, hosting the Minnesota Vikings in week #2 and the Washington Redskins on Sunday, September 27.

The good news for the Kansas City Chiefs as they prepare for the start of the NFL regular season is that their starting quarterback is back at practice. The bad news is that they still don’t know when hell be able to play. Matt Cassel returned to the Chiefs practice field on Monday for the first time since he injured his left knee in a NFL preseason game on August 29th. Still, there’s been no confirmation from either he or the team as to when hell return to action. The Chiefs don’t want to take any chances with Cassel due to the inexperience of their backup QB corps.
Cassel, who saw his stock shoot up precipitously as an NFL QB following his solid play in New England after starter Tom Brady went down to a season ending injury, signed a longterm deal with Kansas City in the off season. Although Cassel was in full uniform at Mondays practice, head coach Todd Haley was noncommittal about whether he or Brodie Croyle would start Sundays NFL regular season opener on the road against the Baltimore Ravens:
“I think that as the week goes on, we’ll know a little bit more. We’ll know a little bit more with Matt for sure. But it was good that he was out there. He was able to get through some things. As the week goes on a little further, we’ll know a little more as far as where he’s at.”
“It’s good this is a long week. That will help with anybody who’s nicked up. I would say generally you would need to have a full practice to have a chance to play. Generally, you need to have a full Friday practice to have a chance.”
With or without Cassel, the Chiefs offense sputtered in the preseason scoring only two touchdowns. The lack of productivity cost offensive coordinator Chan Gailey his job and Kansas City stumbled to a 0-4 record in their NFL exhibition contests. Haley has taken over the offensive play calling for the time being, though it made no difference in the Chiefs final preseason game. Neither Croyle nor third stringer Tyler Thigpen was particularly sharp in preseason play, though Croyle got the most work and should get the nod on Sunday if Cassell is unable to play. Better to bring Cassel back slowly even if it means losing a game or two rather than rush him back and potentially have him re-injure his knee.
No matter who ends up under center for Kansas City as they start their NFL regular season, theyll face a tough assignment against the defensive tenacity of the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs will host the Oakland Raiders in week 2 of the NFL season before traveling to Philadelphia on September 27 for a game against the Eagles.
