The first ever game of the new Oil Kings turned out to be a thrilling 4 – 3 victory over the Kootenay Ice in front of a sell out crowd of 6782. Edmonton native J-P Szaszkiewicz scored with 1.2 seconds remaining in regulation time to cap off what was an entertaining game from start to finish.

Oil Kings will be starting there season tonight vs Kootenay Ice. Do you think we will be getting to much hockey? I know, I know … you can never have to much hockey right? Since these guys are trying to make the NHL will these games be more entertaining then the Oilers? At least I can afford tickets.
